The first NYC Cardiac Rehab Quarterly Collaborative Call took place virtually on Microsoft Teams, with the goal to focus on topics including:

• Takeaways from the NYC Cardiac Rehab Event on June 25^th (Blog Post link)
• Progress stakeholders (providers, payers, partners) have made at their institutions since the event
• Helpful tips for the group re: cardiac rehab referrals, enrollments, and completion

We heard from payers, providers, and stakeholders on their actions since the June event and discussed engagement strategies in respective institutions – including forming a cardiac rehab society specific to NYC. We had several speakers share their actions and experiences since the June event experiences and actions: Dr. David Prince (Montefiore Medical Center), Dr. Lisa Thompson (Anthem BCBS Medicaid), Robert Steigerwald (Burke Rehabilitation Hospital), and Dr. Warren Wexelman (Maimonides Medical Center).

We also discussed future meetings in person with rotating hosting institutions. Dr. Ginny Mantello has offered to be the first host at the Staten Island Borough President’s Office!
